Sky Mavis to reimburse Axie gamers after Ronin hack

The $625 million Ronin blockchain hack is likely one of the largest within the crypto business to this point.

Axie Infinity gamers will get reimbursed following an exploit on the Ronin blockchain that resulted in tens of millions of {dollars} price of ether and the stablecoin USDC.

Sky Mavis, the agency behind the Ronin Community blockchain, has promised a reimbursement plan for gamers and different community customers affected by the hack.

“We’re dedicated to making sure that all the drained funds are recovered or reimbursed, and we’re persevering with conversations with our stakeholders to find out the perfect plan of action,” Sky Mavis COO Aleksander Leonard Larsen said.

The corporate says a backdoor in one of many Ronin nodes allowed the hacker to silently drain the community of 173,600 ether valued at round $600 million and one other $25.5 million within the stablecoin USDC.
