Created in July 2015 by Vitalik Buterin, Ethereum has evolved a lot and it is now the second largest decentralized cryptocurrency.
Expected for several years already, the second version of Ethereum should arrive very soon. The Merge is announced for September 2022.
But this first version of Ethereum, which saw the birth of many projects, should never be forgotten!
Inspired by the famous Million Dollar Homepage
In 2005, young British student Alex Tew came up with a clever strategy to pay for his studies. His clever but simple idea was to create a single web page composed of one million pixels (1000 x 1000 pixels) arranged in a square. Each pixel sells for $1.

Tew’s idea quickly spread across the Internet and marketers rushed to buy advertising space on his website. Tew became a millionaire and his website became a kind of museum with an interesting historical overview of the Internet.
A page to mark the first version of Ethereum
When Ethereum 2.0 arrives, will we totally forget Ethereum 1.0?
The goal of the ETH Pixel Project is clear: to ensure that the first version of ETH and its actors are never forgotten.
Launched in August 2022, ETH Pixel Project aims to bring together the various stakeholders of Ethereum 1.0 in one board: entrepreneurs, collectors, investors, developers…

For this, each actor can acquire blocks, each block being respectively 10×10 pixels, or 100 pixels.
For the launch of the page, the first 100 blocks are free!
How does it work?
You just have to create an account, import an image, choose a URL and order your block! The maximum size is limited to 300 pixels in order to give the possibility to a maximum of players to participate!
Of course, the block purchase is only possible in Ethereum via the secured application CoinPayments.
Each contributor will be highlighted on ETH Pixel Project’s social networks and will have a link to the page of their choice for life on the site. But most importantly, it will be forever embedded in the history of Ethereum 1.0.
Once the page is complete, a part of the profits of this page will be donated to the Ethereum Foundation.
